This month we have Kurt Guenther from Infusion Development Corporation coming to talk about BizTalk Server 2006.  (NOTE: there’ll definitely be content about workflow and rule set development.)

Also, I’ll be raffling off some more books from WROX and some other prizes supplied by INETA

As always, our meeting is open to everyone so bring your friends and co-workers.  If you want free pizza, send me an RSVP using the contact form on my blog by 1pm on 8/3.

When: Thursday August 3, 2006, 5:30 – 7:30pm
Where: Adesso Systems, One Liberty Square, 7th Floor, Boston, MA

Talk: Introduction to BizTalk Server 2006

Abstract:  An introduction to BizTalk Server 2006: the latest version of Microsoft’s Enterprise Application Integration server product.  This talk will focus on the three fundamental components of BizTalk Server: Messaging/Mapping, Orchestration/Business Logic, and the BizTalk Rules Engine.  This talk will walk the audience through building a BizTalk solution from scratch to solve a common EAI problem.  In addition, it will focus on BizTalk as a part of larger architecture, including .NET Framework 3.0 (WinFX).

Bio:  Kurt Guenther is a Senior Consultant at Infusion Development Corporation.  Based out of Infusion’s New York offices, he is responsible for their Demos and Emerging Technologies group.  In addition, he is a part of Microsoft’s Virtual Technical Specialist program for the BizTalk – giving him direct access to Microsoft internal resources for BizTalk.

Kurt’s life revolves around learning new technologies, creating demos, evangelizing, and recruiting.  His main professional interests are new technologies and driving revenue from them.  He is constantly on the look out for fresh talent for Infusion, as well as the best Sushi in town.  He is embarrassed by how poor his trumpet playing has gotten, but happy that his marathon running is improving.
